On the 27th of September 2016, The Ciara Chronicles turned one. One! That means that I stuck at something for one whole year without giving up on it. If my younger self saw what I’ve just written there, she would be appalled because she was such a driven person who was determined to succeed at anything she’d try. But my present self, a person who’s battled with her mental health for a number of years, is so proud to have finally kept something up for longer than a couple of weeks. A blogging milestone has been reached!
So, it’s the 21st of May which means that June is just around the corner. That also means that we’re just about to hit the half way point of 2016, and guess what? I’m still the exact same weight I was at the beginning of the year. If you’re a frequent reader of my blog, you’ll know that all I’ve wanted for the last I don’t know how long is to get back to my former fit and healthy self. I say healthy but when I think about it, I ate the exact same way as I do now but I just danced all the time. All the time. Continuing to eat the way you had previously after growing up and developing a slower metabolism probably wasn’t my greatest idea, and after seeing a picture of myself recently, I came to the conclusion that things need to change now.
Work has been extremely quiet the last couple of days and with beginning my new healthy eating and fitness regime, I’ve been trying to distract myself from the thoughts of eating unhealthy foods. This has proven to be quite tough when it’s been so quiet in there so, I asked my good friend Ciara could I borrow a book from her to keep myself occupied during the day. She recommended that I read a book called I Am That Girl, a book I’ve heard her talk about a lot of the past couple of months so it was worth a shot!
