On the 27th of September 2016, The Ciara Chronicles turned one. One! That means that I stuck at something for one whole year without giving up on it. If my younger self saw what I’ve just written there, she would be appalled because she was such a driven person who was determined to succeed at anything she’d try. But my present self, a person who’s battled with her mental health for a number of years, is so proud to have finally kept something up for longer than a couple of weeks. A blogging milestone has been reached!
On Tuesday, August 16th 2016, I returned to work after being on holidays for nine days. I didn’t go abroad but as you know, it was my birthday and my birthday is a time I refuse to work. Because my birthday would’ve always been during the summer holidays, I never had to attend school or college on it so I thought to myself, why should I work? I also hadn’t a consecutive amount of days off work in quite a while, so this time off was really needed. But during this time off, I ended up living. Yes, living and this living made me realise that a huge change is needed in this 24-year-old’s life.
If you’ve been following my Facebook page or my Snapchat, you may have seen that I attended the Deise Bloggers “Mad Hatter Tea Party” in aid of Pieta House on Sunday, August 7th in the Kazbar, Waterford. The event was the second blogger event that I have attended and it was absolutely amazing! It was great to see all of the bloggers from Waterford, learn a number of skincare, make-up and hair tips and of course, have a tea party! Unfortunately, I completely forgot to save my pictures from my Snapchat story but luckily, Blathnaid from Wildflower Diaries was on hand with her camera and took gorgeous photographs of the day. Keep reading to find out what went on during the event…
You may have noticed that there haven’t been any personal training related posts on The Ciara Chronicles in a little while, although my original intention was to fill you in on how I was getting on every week. Before you jump to conclusions and think I’ve given up already (if you have, I won’t be offended as I’m aware I’m pretty fickle), I haven’t. But why the lack of personal training posts, you ask? Honestly, I just haven’t really been feeling myself in any shape or form and had no idea what to say. My motivation and happiness seemed to have disappeared, but after two very similar talks with a friend and Leslie from Russell Fitness, they have since reappeared. Interested in finding out what was going on? Keep reading.
So guys, it’s time for another post on how I’m getting on at personal training but this week, I feel like I’ve nothing strange, startling or exciting to report. All went well at the gym this week and I was down another couple of pounds but other than that, I’ve nothing else to say. So, instead of skipping this week’s blog post on how I’m getting on, I’m going to write about how I feel like I’ve changed something over the last month because of my new attitude towards things. If you’re interested in finding how I’m feeling, keep reading!
It’s the weekend so we all know what that means, it’s time for my weekly check in to tell you how I’m getting on with my personal training sessions with Russell Fitness. This week has definitely been one of my best weeks, not training wise but how I was feeling about my body, how my body was feeling after training and how I was just feeling myself. I also developed this huge confidence boost which is something I totally needed, so let’s find out why…
Happy Saturday, readers! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week and are enjoying the weekend so far. Here I am with my fourth instalment of how I’m getting on in Russell Fitness and I guess you can probably tell from my happy little greeting there, I’m in a lot better form than my previous post. Before I head straight into how the week went, I’m going to tell you a funny story about a life lesson that I learned this week for those who haven’t seen it on The Ciara Chronicles Facebook page. Enjoy! Continue reading
