On the 27th of September 2016, The Ciara Chronicles turned one. One! That means that I stuck at something for one whole year without giving up on it. If my younger self saw what I’ve just written there, she would be appalled because she was such a driven person who was determined to succeed at anything she’d try. But my present self, a person who’s battled with her mental health for a number of years, is so proud to have finally kept something up for longer than a couple of weeks. A blogging milestone has been reached!
You may have noticed that there haven’t been any personal training related posts on The Ciara Chronicles in a little while, although my original intention was to fill you in on how I was getting on every week. Before you jump to conclusions and think I’ve given up already (if you have, I won’t be offended as I’m aware I’m pretty fickle), I haven’t. But why the lack of personal training posts, you ask? Honestly, I just haven’t really been feeling myself in any shape or form and had no idea what to say. My motivation and happiness seemed to have disappeared, but after two very similar talks with a friend and Leslie from Russell Fitness, they have since reappeared. Interested in finding out what was going on? Keep reading.
So guys, it’s time for another post on how I’m getting on at personal training but this week, I feel like I’ve nothing strange, startling or exciting to report. All went well at the gym this week and I was down another couple of pounds but other than that, I’ve nothing else to say. So, instead of skipping this week’s blog post on how I’m getting on, I’m going to write about how I feel like I’ve changed something over the last month because of my new attitude towards things. If you’re interested in finding how I’m feeling, keep reading!
It’s the weekend so we all know what that means, it’s time for my weekly check in to tell you how I’m getting on with my personal training sessions with Russell Fitness. This week has definitely been one of my best weeks, not training wise but how I was feeling about my body, how my body was feeling after training and how I was just feeling myself. I also developed this huge confidence boost which is something I totally needed, so let’s find out why…
Happy Saturday, readers! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week and are enjoying the weekend so far. Here I am with my fourth instalment of how I’m getting on in Russell Fitness and I guess you can probably tell from my happy little greeting there, I’m in a lot better form than my previous post. Before I head straight into how the week went, I’m going to tell you a funny story about a life lesson that I learned this week for those who haven’t seen it on The Ciara Chronicles Facebook page. Enjoy! Continue reading
Firstly, I would like to apologise for this post being a day late but it’s a Bank Holiday Monday so technically, it’s a Sunday… Right? I was working this weekend but fortunately, my scheduled day off was on a bank holiday – how fab! Secondly, I would like to apologise for how much of a failure I ended up being last week regarding my eating, exercising and mentality towards becoming a fitter and better version of myself. I’m going to hate even looking at this post, never mind writing it because I will actually have to put into words how badly it went. Although you’re probably going to think I’m full of excuses, I have a completely valid reasons on why it went so badly, so let’s read on and find out what happened!
It’s been just over a week since I’ve started my personal training sessions with Russell Fitness so as promised, here is my weekly update! This post isn’t going to be just about how I got on in the gym this week, it’s also going to be a reflection on my past body issues which I have barely spoken about publicly and my “Dream Body” (which is actually my own from 2010) that is my end goal. I’m feeling quite vulnerable about this post because of the fact I’ve never been very vocal about this issue and only certain people know about it, but hey, these things need to be talked about.
