Review: Most Wanted & Dancing Till Dusk

Hello everyone and welcome back to another review of some of the products I received at the Deise Bloggers event back in August. I apologise for how long it’s taking me to get through everything but when you’ve got a full time job and other commitments, blogging sometimes has to take a halt. I’ve been dying to write this post as I will be reviewing the Art Deco Most Wanted Contouring Palette and the Sleek Make-Up Dancing till Dusk Palette. These two products have become the most used items in my make-up bag since the event. Keep reading to find out why!

The Art Deco Most Wanted Contouring Palette was only released back in September but we were lucky enough to receive it a month before its release. The palette itself comes in two tones, cool and warm, and I received the warm toned palette. Although the warm toned palette is designed for tan to deep skin tones and I’m naturally extremely pale, I prefer the bronze shades to warm up my skin tone. Also, I wear tan a lot of the time so it suits me best.

The Palette:

  • Highlighter Powder
Yellow toned and not too dramatic.
  • Blush Powder
Peachy-pink colour with a subtle shimmer.
  • Strobing Powder
White powder giving a dramatic finish.
  • 3 Dark Gradient Contour Powders
A mixture of ash, bronze and dark tones giving the palette versatility for different contour looks.

I have genuinely used this palette every single day I’ve worn make-up since the Deise Bloggers event back in August and I cannot fault it. Honestly, I screamed with excitement when I opened it up. It’s the most perfect palette I’ve ever used! Because the palette is incredibly versatile and interchangeable, I don’t just use it on my skin for contouring. The mixture of dark contour powders can also be used as the most beautiful eyeshadow colours, giving a gorgeous brown smoky eye along with using the highlighter or strobing powder on the brow bone for that little bit extra. This palette has it all! 10 out of 10 Art Deco, 10 out of 10!

The Sleek Make-Up Dancing till Dusk Palette is another staple in my make-up bag. I’m a lover of Sleek Make-Up and have a ridiculous amount of their products floating around my make-up bag. A number of their products I would consider staples and would use daily, especially the Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit. We can all blame Laura Dempsey Make-Up for that one, I think!

The Dancing till Dusk designed for both the eyes and cheeks, and changing up your look from day to night. The palette includes two velvety browns and two shimmering fawns for the eyes, an iridescent soft pink blush and a matte, dark coral blush. Again, a palette which has it all!

Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the two blush colours which comes in the palette, mainly because I’m not a fan of blush in general. I’ve decided to stick to the Most Wanted palette for my face powders. But I love mixing up the four eyeshadows because I can achieve a very subtle, daytime look with the two velvet brown eye shadows then instantly transform it with the two shimmery fawn colours, giving a sultry look. The palette itself is small in size so it can be brought anywhere!

I think it’s safe to say that I love these palettes! My favourite of the two would have to be the Most Wanted palette because it has everything that I need in one. I can do my eye make-up with it, my contour, highlight and blush without the need of anything else. The palette itself retails at €34.50 and although that may seem pricey, it’s well worth the investment. As it’s now Autumn and if you are looking for some warm shades, this palette is definitely for you!

Apologies for the glasses! My eyes were not co-operating.

Thanks for reading and until next time…
